Trivial Topographies (2006) 8:00 is a sequence of digital photographs of rural landscapes in the Catskill Mountains. The photographic camera freezes the moment of flow.  The water is caught and stilled, but the potential for flow is still there.   Using various software programs and video tools, Gorewitz emptied the pictures of color and added textures.  The result resembles charcoal drawings that move.
